The Moscow Kremlin Museums in collaboration with KAMIS Museum Systems Ltd. and Multimedia Solutions Lab Ltd., with the support of Gazprom Export LLC, have produced a multimedia application for smartphones and tablets – "Moscow Kremlin Museums. Armoury Chamber". It provides the latest news about the events of the Kremlin Museums and full information on the Armoury Chamber, i.e. museum map with wayfinding features, audio guide, information about its halls and exhibits, games and quests. The Armoury Chamber provides Wi-Fi, so it is possible to download the app directly at the museum as well as remotely.
The option "Exposition Guide" allows using the app as a guide in the Armoury Chamber. The app automatically identifies the user’s location and illuminates the nearest showcases with blue numbers. One could also discover general information about each hall by clicking the "i" symbol. There is both textual and audio content in the app so that it can be used as an audio guide. The free app is available in English and Russian for both iOS and Android users.
