Showcase 38. European jewellery and accessories of the 16th - early 19th century

The collection of European jewellery of the 16th - early 19th century, represented in the showcase, contains precious utensils used for varied purposes. There are splendid ewer and bowl made of rock crystal in a silver-gilt mount and decorated with enamels and precious stones, various toilet boxes, snuffboxes, clocks, table and wall decorations made of gold, mother-of-pearl and embellished with precious stones, enamelled miniatures, porcelain and grisaille painting, dating back to the mid-18th century. Each item is a masterpiece of European jewellery-making.
