SHOWCASE 14. MOSCOW ENAMELWORK IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE 17TH CENTURY
CloseAt the beginning of the 17th century, economic and foreign-policy progress of Russia ensure a further development of goldsmithery. The Golden and Silver Chambers, under the direction of B. Hitrovo, were producing different jewellery artworks, decorated with precious stones, pearls, enamels, filigree. The specimens displayed in the showcase 14 reveal the tendency to splendour and luxury within the tradition of decorative art.
